Tom Kealey is the author of The Creative Writing MFA Handbook. His stories have appeared in Best American NonRequired, Glimmer Train, Story Quarterly, Prairie Schooner, the San Francisco Chronicle and elsewhere. His nonfiction has appeared in Poets and Writers and The Writer. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he received the Distinguished Teaching Award. He was a Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford from 2001-03. He teaches a variety of courses at Stanford, including all levels of Fiction Writing, Creative Nonfiction, Fiction Into Film, and as team-teacher with Adam Johnson, The Graphic Novel and The Novel Salon.
