In what ways do electronic texts, literary data and computers offer us unique ways of reading, analyzing, and understanding literature? This course addresses this question by exploring the possibilities opened by electronic texts, digital corpora, and literary databases. Throughout the course we will consider the overarching theoretical issues associated with employing a largely objective methodology within a traditionally subjective discipline.
