Join the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity at our annual Anne and Loren Kieve Distinguished Lecture. Tommy Orange is the author of There There, a 2019 American Book Award winner and a finalist for the 2019 Pulitzer Prize. Wandering Stars, its prequel/sequel, was published this year to considerable interest and critical acclaim. Mr. Orange is currently at work on another novel from which the topic of his talk, “Pretending—An American History,” is taken.
