"Chronicled Sound and Chronicle Songs in Late-Medieval Italy" by Lecturer in Music Jamie Greenberg Reuland

Reuland's research focuses on the intellectual and political history of music in the medieval Mediterranean, and on the intersection of musical texts, oral culture, and spirituality in the later Middle Ages. Her current book project explores musical performance as a mode of political action in late-medieval Venice and its maritime empire. Other interests include the medieval memory; monastic reform; and music and medieval image theory.
