Reading with first year Stegner Fellows in Poetry and Fiction, Colby Cotton and Devyn Defoe.

Colby Cotton is from a small town in western New York, and is a recent graduate of the MFA Writing Program at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he held the Fred Chappell Fellowship in poetry. A recipient of a Tennessee Williams Scholarship from the Sewanee Writers' Conference, his work appears or is forthcoming in The Missouri Review, The Cincinnati Review, Pleiades, Ninth Letter, Sycamore Review, and Washington Square Review, among others.

Devyn Defoe was born in Sacramento, California. She holds a BA in Anthropology from UC Berkeley and an MFA from Columbia University. Her work has been featured in PALM LEAF, Tin House Online, and the artist book Girls In Trees, and in 2017 she was shortlisted for The White Review short story prize. She is currently at work on a novel.
