Sterling HolyWhiteMountain grew up on the Blackfeet Reservation in northwest Montana. He holds a BA in English creative writing from the University of Montana and an MFA in fiction from the University of Iowa. He was also a James C. McCreight Fiction Fellow at the University of Wisconsin. His work has appeared in volumes 1 and 2 of Off the Path: An Anthology of 21st Century American Indian and Indigenous Writers, Montana Quarterly, and ESPN.com. For the past four years he has directed the writing center at Blackfeet Community College. He is currently at work on a novel.

sam sax is a queer jewish poet and educator. He's the author of Madness (Penguin, 2017) winner of The National Poetry Series and ‘Bury It’ (Wesleyan University Press, 2018) winner of the James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets. He’s received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Lambda Literary, & the MacDowell Colony. His poems have appeared in BuzzFeed, The Nation,The New York Times, Poetry Magazine, and elsewhere. He’s the poetry editor over at BOAAT Press.
