Jesuseyi Osundeko
Seyi Osundeko is a Ph.D. Candidate in English at Stanford University. Her dissertation investigates practices of self-mourning in women through African and Black diasporic literature. Other areas of interest include postcolonial feminism and creative writing. Her research is generously supported by the Stanford Humanities Center Dissertation Prize Fellowship, as well as the Enhancing Diversity in Graduate Education (EDGE) Fellowship.
Seyi serves as co-director of the Spice Project, Interdisciplinary Humanities Africanist Writing Group (IHAWG). She also serves as a graduate mentor with the EDGE Fellowship and the English department. Seyi previously served as co-director of the DIF project Humanities in Color.
Seyi taught a Writing Intensive Seminar in English (WISE) course titled "Black Diaspora(s) Then and Now" as instructor of record in the Winter Quarter of 2025.
