Meredith Castile writes on the novella, cultural production, and prestige. Her forthcoming dissertation, The Novella. An English History, is under the direction of Franco Moretti. While on leave to be with her family in Vienna, Austria, Castile worked as a newspaper arts reviewer and wrote a cultural studies book for Bloomsbury, Driver's License (January 2015). She has a strong interest in literary and academic translation from the German. Trained as a Victorianist, Castile has taught courses and discussion sections in rhetoric, critical theory, and contemporary art as well as topics in British literature from 18th-century satire to Victorian serials to modernism. When she cannot get her hands on college students, she gets her pedagogical fix by teaching hatha yoga.
